Welcoming Shishi

We received nearly 650 applications from a diverse range of competitive candidates and conducted nearly 200 interviews. We were blown away by Shishi’s deep knowledge of the crypto landscape and her technical acumen. We place a high emphasis on founder references, and founders provided nothing but high praise regarding their interactions with her. It was a long journey but we couldn’t be more excited by the outcome.

Prior to Lattice, Shishi was part of the investment team at Blockchain Capital. While at Blockchain Capital, she conducted investment diligence and portfolio support with a focus on decentralized infrastructure. While studying Data Science at UC Berkeley, Shishi first learned about crypto through Blockchain at Berkeley. While there, she was a consultant and participated in DeFi governance.

Shishi will continue her focus on infrastructure at Lattice. More specifically, Shishi is interested in exploring the innovation and trade-offs of different execution environments. For instance, experimentations around virtual machines (VM) that embrace different kinds of execution paths and account models, which potentially might lead to certain VMs being more optimal for specific types of applications. Another area of focus for Shishi is finding solutions to solve the need for large-scale secure and verifiable computation. This will ensure integrity of computation and preserve privacy of the input data via encryption and decryption schemes. Shishi believes that this will be a major unlock for the next wave of crypto adoption. Shishi closely monitors existing solutions such as MPC, zero-knowledge technology, and FHE, the synergies between these technologies, and significant research breakthroughs that will make them the backbone of large-scale computation.
