Investing in Charms

Today we are excited to announce our Pre-Seed investment into Charms.

Charms is building the future of agentic entertainment. Billions of people passively watch videos, scroll photos, and share said content with their friends. We believe the future of digital experiences will look very different with these same users actively engaging with agentic companions.

Charms is building that future. After launching two key proofs of concept, Humans vs AI and CODY, this week Charms released their product on the App Store. We encourage you to download Charms and experiment with the different agent personalities on the platform. These interactions will feel far more personal and social than those you may have had with general purpose models.

In the future, Charms will be the platform where communities, creators, and everyone in between can launch agents using their IP, shared lore, and memories. Users can interact with those agents wherever they spend time online today - iMessage, Whatsapp, Mobile Web, etc.

User ownership is a key pillar of the team’s vision. The history of consumer software is littered with platforms slowly encroaching on user and developer value and internalizing it. Facebook harpooned Zynga when it got too big. More recently, users have been distraught when platforms have shut down their favorite agents. Charm’s economy is still nascent but we believe tokenizing these agents and giving users upside and shared ownership in agents will lead to more meaningful and lasting engagement.

Gon, Ignacion, and Juan are the perfect founders to build this business. In past lives, they built successful creator tools, launched a large secondhand marketplace for Fifa, and built the largest Worldcoin operation on the planet.
